What Shattered Pixel Dungeon does

Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a turn-based roguelike. You pick a hero class, descend through randomly generated floors, collect items and try to survive. When you die, you start again from the top with a new dungeon.

Runs are short enough for a commute but the game has a lot of depth in item combinations and hero subclasses. It plays well in portrait mode with one hand. You can choose between Warrior, Mage, Rogue, and Huntress heroes, each starting with distinct equipment and traits. Boss encounters every five floors test your inventory preparation.

The full game is free with no ads. An optional supporter purchase provides cosmetic extras but no gameplay advantages. It runs completely offline without any internet connection, and saved games stay on your device.
