1. Respect for Intellectual Property & Statutory Safe Harbor Compliance

APKworlds ("we", "our", or "the Platform") respects the intellectual property rights of software developers, creative artists, mobile publishers, and trademark proprietors. We are dedicated to maintaining a transparent, law-abiding digital ecosystem that adheres strictly to the notice-and-takedown procedures established by Title 17, United States Code, Section 512 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the European Union Digital Services Act (DSA), and applicable international copyright conventions.

Our operational policy is unequivocally clear: we do not distribute pirated software, cracked commercial packages, reverse-engineered binaries, or unauthorized copies of proprietary works. As detailed in our Download Policy, we only host APK files when explicit developer permission exists or when distributed under permissive open-source licenses. For all other software cataloged in our Android Apps Directory and Games Directory, we provide clean, direct links to official publisher sources such as Google Play or the developer's official domain. Nevertheless, if an intellectual property owner identifies content on our website that infringes their copyright, we maintain an expeditious removal mechanism.

2. Statutory Requirements for Submitting a Valid DMCA Takedown Notice

To ensure that takedown notices are processed swiftly and without administrative delay, notices submitted to our designated copyright agent must comply fully with the statutory requirements specified in 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). Any formal notification claiming copyright infringement must be submitted in writing and contain all of the following six elements:

  1. Physical or Electronic Signature: A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive copyright that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the Copyrighted Work: Clear and detailed identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works, including proof of original publication, registration certificates, or official developer website URLs.
  3. Identification of the Infringing Material: Specific identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, along with information reasonably sufficient to permit APKworlds to locate the material. You must provide the exact URL(s) on our domain (e.g., https://www.apkworlds.co.uk/apps/example-app/) where the alleged infringement occurs. General references to the site or app name without specific URLs are legally insufficient.
  4. Claimant Contact Information: Accurate and comprehensive contact information enabling our legal team to communicate with you, including your full legal name, professional title, corporate organization, physical mailing address, telephone number, and official corporate email address.
  5. Statement of Good Faith Belief: A clear statement affirming: "I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
  6. Statement Under Penalty of Perjury: A formal sworn statement affirming: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner."

3. Designated Copyright Agent & Submission Channels

Formal notifications of claimed copyright infringement should be dispatched directly to our designated copyright compliance agent using either our dedicated email portal or physical correspondence:

Designated Copyright Agent Contact Information

Agent Name: Copyright Compliance Officer

Organization: APKworlds

Email: info.apkworlds@gmail.com

Expedited Web Reporting: Submit directly via our Online App Report Portal (Select Category: "Copyright Issue")

For expedited triage, we strongly advise rights holders to submit notices via our online App Problem & Copyright Report Tool or directly via email to info.apkworlds@gmail.com. Utilizing these channels ensures immediate ingestion into our automated compliance ticket system.

4. Operational Review Timelines & Material Disabling Protocol

Upon receipt of a legally compliant DMCA notification that fulfills the statutory criteria set forth above, APKworlds executes an established operational procedure:

5. Statutory Counter-Notification Procedure (17 U.S.C. § 512(g))

If you are an application publisher or developer who provided material cataloged on APKworlds, and you believe that your content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake, misidentification, or erroneous claim, federal law affords you the right to submit a formal counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3).

To be effective, a counter-notification must be submitted in writing to our Designated Copyright Agent and include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the specific URL on APKworlds at which the material appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury affirming: "I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled."
  4. Your full legal name, physical address, telephone number, and email address, along with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if outside the United States, the federal judicial district in which the service provider may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice.

Upon receipt of a valid statutory counter-notification, we promptly forward a complete copy to the original complainant. If the complainant does not provide our agent with notice within ten to fourteen (10–14) business days that they have filed a court action seeking a restraining order against the uploader, APKworlds is legally authorized to restore access to the disabled material under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(2)(C).

6. Strict Repeat Infringer Policy & Account Disqualification

In full adherence to 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(1)(A), APKworlds maintains and enforces a strict repeat infringer policy. We track copyright infringement complaints linked to developer accounts in our Developers Directory. If an individual or publisher is determined to be a repeat infringer - defined as having been the subject of two or more verified, non-rescinded DMCA takedown notices - we permanently terminate their submission privileges under our App Submission Portal, disable all associated listings, and add their package identifiers and cryptographic keys to our permanent blacklist.

7. Trademark Attribution, Fair Use & General Inquiries

Android, Google Play, the Google Play logo, and related trademarks are the property of Google LLC. All other product names, company trademarks, registered logos, and brand assets referenced across APKworlds are the property of their respective holders. The inclusion of software names, screenshots, and package identifiers on our platform is done exclusively for descriptive identification, factual reporting, and technical commentary under established doctrines of nominative fair use.
